About me

I am Emily Ridgley a graduate textile designer from south west London.

I graduated from Nottingham Trent University in July 2022 with a high 2:1. Working as a confident and passionate embroidery student with an interest in sustainability and colour. Further developing my interest in knitted textiles.

My innate interest lies with textiles within fashion. I stay on top of the latest trends and colours. Having a strong understanding of how fashion trends evolve and circulate due to many factors.

This was researched in-depth in my dissertation ‘The Rise of Second-Hand Culture. Is it Just Another Social Media Trend?’. Where I understood and expanded my knowledge on the powerful ways in which social media and the digital age affect fashion trends nowadays.

Emily Ridgley Textiles is a space where you can find of all of my most successful textiles work, allowing you to also access all of my digital design platforms and explore my work as a designer.
